"In My Life" - The Beatles

In my life, I have been to many concerts, and above all my favorite ones are No Doubt and The Offspring. THEY WERE AMAZING. So good live, great show and funny. Very entertaining. I'm glad I've been a fan of The Offspring since I was 11 XD. So honored to be in their presence. =) Anyway...

Today was a pretty cool day. First thing I did was go to a convention. It was a huge industry building run by the Frank & Son company in Rowland Heights. It's a trading, selling, and buying convention of all classic collecting items such as Magic: The Gathering, YGO, Nascar, Hot Wheels, Barbie, Matell, Disney and so on. So the night before my sister had told me that she and her boyfriend were going June 6th. They told us to round up our Pokemon cards to see if we can sell them for some decent amount of money. As were told, we did and we went. We looked around to see if they were even sellign Pokemon cards to begin with. Unfortunately, they were not. There was only one stand that had Pokemon cards and they didn't buy any of ours. First of all, ours were in Japanese and second, they were really old but in mint condition. She woul donly buy the Platnium, Diamond and Pearl series (the ones that are actually being bought now because they're new XD). So that was a bust. However, the whole trip wasn't. My boyfriend found an N64 game that he's been trying to find: 007 Golden Eye and I found a Dreamcast game that my siblings and I have been trying to find: Chu Chu Rocket! We've only played the demo, so now the real thing was even better. It gets really intense =D.

After going to the Frank & Son convention, my brother, boyfriend and I parted ways with my sis and her boyfriend and ventured off to IKEA. We looked around the showroom to see if there are any comfortable yet affordable drafting/office chairs for my mom's drafting table. Right now we're using this dining chair and it's rather short for a drafting table, haha. We looked arounfd and found four possible choices. She wants one that goes up pretty high so we looked for the best-looking, most comfortable and most affordable yet. It was pretty high too, standing tall at 20 1/8" with pleather and armrests to boot. My mom liked what she saw. So soon enough we'll have to heave the ol' dining chair back to the garage/car port XD. After looking for the swivel chair, we set off to look for a book stand for my birthday gift to my boyfriend. We looked everywhere to ano avail. "We'll just look in a place like Target or Wal-Mart or something.." says Jared. We drive home and drop my brother off while trying out Chu Chu Rocket and eating some beef and rice before watching: Up!!!

I was so excited to go and see it. I've been wanting to see it ever since the previews that were shown a few weeks ago. It was such a good movie, really sad, really funny, and really action-packed at the same time. I recommend watching it for ALL. Haha, now my next movies I'd want to see are Year One, that one movie with Ryan Reynolds coming out with Sandra Bullock and 9 by Disney's Pixar. =) Yep! Look out movie theatres...you're about to make some extra money =)

We came home after watching Up and played monopoly again with my dad; only this time it was The Simpson's Monopoly =D It was the traditional version (which kinda confused me at times) but it was fun nonetheless. My dad was 4th, I was 3rd, Jared 2nd, and my bro 1st. He's won twice in a row. Talk about karma and the bad luck I've been having ever since I told them that I had a stratagem. Oh well, hopefully my luck turns around next week--when we play, yet again, haha!

Smash - The Offspring

So I know I haven't been blogging lately (like anyone ever reads these XD) but it's freakin' 3:10 in the morning, and I am completely stoked for The Offspring concert tomorrow! It's in San Diego (where the No Doubt concert was held at two weeks ago; it was actually in Chula Vista but whatever) and it's kinda thundering this early morning. I hope the rain brushes over by tomorrow so that it won't ruin this open theatre concert in SDSU. But I'm going, rain or shine.

There's not much going on with me. My boyfriend and I made a band with just the two of us now since the drummer in our other band quit a few weeks before a gig at their church. I was excited to play with them but now it's not possible until we find a decent (or even better) drummer than he was. On to other business, the band my boyfriend and I made is 5 Five and Under, haha! I know, I know, pretty lame, but hey! We're a small people ^o^. We've been practicing some covers and have yet to post them onto our youtube channel. We're also working on an original song which is has been taking us about 3 months to do. This song writing stuff is hard business and I finall understand why so many artists come up with cd's in about 3 years or 2 years later after an album had just come out.

Life at the moment is pretty good. The only thing is I've been playing too much Monopoly for my own good that my winning streak has now become a losing streak. However, i hope my luck will change this weekend, if we do play yet again...I think we've been playing monopoly ever since my boyfriend's birthday; when I just had to buy him a Monopoly game set. That's when the boardgame craze came a-fluttering out. Oh well, I guess it's a good thing isn't it? It's something that brings my family and loved ones together; creating memories that can last us a lifetime. Yeah, that's what it's all about.

So I guess life is not just pretty good, but pretty grand.
